User Profile

This is a fairly new journal used mostly to deal with the side of myself that's trying to become a published writer. I focus primarily on Gothic Urban-Fantasy and have a very Noir style, but do dip into contemporary fiction and have a pet love for Sci-fi-ish type stuff. My strengths seem to lie in longer length material, but I've been working heavily on some shorter stories, poetry and the like. Thankfully, my wife, kinkyhausfrau, seems to be one of the most well-read people on the planet and is an amazing editor, so I'm constantly tapping her for advice and help. Thus far I've basically got a handful of rejections, but I do habitually make it out of the slush pile and that makes me happy, heh. I'll probably be posting story excerpts, stuff I can't publish but still want to display, etc. in this journal.

Fair Warning: Almost all of what I write reflects an extremely adult nature and, given my personal interests, it's definitely not for everyone. As a result, most of the hardcore will end up being posted 'Friends Only'. Say what you will constructively, but remember to be nice about it because this is teh internetz after all and I have no problems finding out where you live. Last, the prerequisite statement that it's my work, so..taking it without permission is kind of a dick move. I'm pretty liberal on that front though (come on, what writer wouldn't love to see their credited work plastered all over the in-tar-webz?), so feel free to ask if something really does tickle your fancies.

The default icon was made by bella_peligrosa, who seems to be quite the cool chick. The rest are art I've found or otherwise. If you recognize something as yours, let me know and I'll be happy to give you credit; I try to be conscientious in my thievery.
